It started with Pro Image 100…

Poly Film Labs started with a simple punt on a roll of Pro Image 100 and a Pentax MX.

That single roll of Pro Image 100 quickly led to a foray into Super 8, 16mm and hand processing. As our passion for film, the colours and the cathartic development process exploded so did our need to make it more affordable and available in our home of Suffolk, UK.

With no local labs catering to Motion Picture Film Processing and other web-based offerings proving unaffordable, Poly Film Labs was born.

Looking back it’s incredible how far we have come, from a single paterson tank to multiple commercial photolab processors / scanners, a motion picture film scanner and a motion picture film processor being readied to enter service.

Poly Film Labs are here to provide the film community with an affordable and flexible option for photo and motion picture film formats both retail and lab services. We love to specialise in the niches to make them more accessible and well known, such as B&W Reversal.

We are a small part-time lab. Our passion is film, and we believe getting it into more hands, more cameras and more affordably underpins it’s longevity.
